Our Mission: Reduce 1.1 Million Plastic Bags in 2012
Today marks the launch day of Mission Zero Bags and we are all excited!
Pay-Less Supermarkets distributes over 11 million plastic bags to its customers each year and our goal is to go to ZERO by the end of our campaign. For campaign 2012, we will ask our customers to help us, buy bringing their reusable shopping bags on every 3rd and 4th Wednesday of each month.
We know that do so may be a bit inconvenient, and it's easier to just stay the status quo. But if we all just eliminate the use and distribution of plastic bags during our 2012 schedule, we all will have removed over 1.1 million plastic bags from our environment. That's right – 1.1 million plastic bags!
There will be two special offers today to kick off the campaign:
- Free reusable bag! Customers will receive 1 free reusable bag with a minimum $20 purchase. This free bag promotion will ONLY be on January 25th.
- Receive 10% off your entire meat purchase. Some restrictions apply: Does not include: advertised meat items, seafood, bacon, hot dogs and luncheon meat. This meat promotion will only be available January 25th from 6am-11pm.
So please join us to get to zero. The mission starts today!
